HR Compliance

Recruiting and HR Compliance in the automotive world tend to go together and the Human Resource team at Dealers Resource Center knows exactly how to successfully accomplish both when it comes to helping dealerships across the country.

Kayla Sturgess, Director of HR, and Talent Acquisition manages the entire process and is well-versed in overseeing the correct procedures are professionally installed so that both the recruiting process and the HR Compliance that is needed are both managed correctly.

Dealers Resource Center recognizes dealerships need a lot of help when it comes to HR Compliance. While Recruiting is always going to be a major issue, many dealerships recognize that they need help with a myriad of issues including:

  • HR Audits.
  • Anti-harassment training, diversity, leadership training.
  • Employee Handbooks assistance.
  • Policy Development which includes assisting with policy and procedure developments as well as any struggles the dealership is having.
  • Performance measurements and evaluations (Dealers Resource Center provides a variety of templates).
  • Terminations and Transitions.
  • Compensation and Benefits. Dealers Resource Center creates forms and established salary boundaries.

One example that Sturgess gave was about the interview and hiring process. Sturgess recommends that all dealerships have a comprehensive and very streamlined process in place.

“You need to have something in place where once they accept the offer, we send them a drug test and background check.” Sturgess said. “And we do that as far as our HR Compliance services go. So, if a dealership does not have that service, and they want that, we can provide that for them.”

Sturgess could not emphasize enough that a dealership needs to pay remarkably close attention to al the minor details of the hiring process, something that Dealers Resource Center is familiar with.

“They need to have it all mapped out after interviews,” Sturgess explained. “And then once an offer is made and accepted DRC can take care of everything from background checks to drug screenings for any candidate.”

HR Compliance along with Recruiting/Training has become a focal point in the hiring process. Candidates need proper training and using Dealers Resource Center ’s automotive experience will only help the new hires grow and they dealerships continue to flourish.

Dealers Resource Center has assisted numerous dealerships throughout the hiring process as well as many individual candidates find great jobs within the automotive industry.

  • 3rd Phase: Screening Interviews

Our team members speak with candidates via phone interviews to ensure that they are a match for your employment needs.

  • 4th Phase: person Interviews

After we have narrowed the field to a specific group of candidates that seem to be a good fit for you, we move to in-person interviews with our team of professionals with an eye toward narrowing the field to three to five candidates.
